About

Pursued International Foundation

Launched in 2018, is a faith based non-profit organization targeting ‘at-risk’ women and girls with an emphasis on counseling, mentorship and empowerment.

We have partnered government agencies, church groups and youth organizations to raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking. With a two part focus of awareness along with restoration and
reconciliation Pursued International engages with commercial sex workers in order to link them to resources in the community with the aim of reintegration.

Our Story

Founded in July 2018 Pursued International started from an article about sex tourism that led to a trip to South East Asia that blossomed into a mandate to serve.

Founder and Director Stacy-Ann Smith saw an article about sex tourism in South East Asia. After reading the article she was compelled to leave the comfort of her home and job and travel thousands of miles to be God’s hands and feet to a people group she had never before heard of. Her time serving in the brothels and bars opened her eyes to a bigger purpose for her life. Upon returning to Jamaica she was challenged to look into the issues of sexual exploitation and trafficking on her country.

After much prayer Pursued International was birthed as a small ministry and now a registered charity serving the needs of the exploited and down trodden.
